IntelliPDF BATES stamp Plug-In's  FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (F.A.Q.)

Does IntelliPDF BATES 1.0 work with Adobe™ Acrobat™ earlier than 5.0?
No.
Do you support the MAC platform?
Not at this time.
Why does IntelliPDF BATES appear ghosted under Plug-ins Menu?
You should open a PDF Document, before accessing IntelliPDF BATES plug-in.
I have opened a PDF file and plug-in remains "Ghosted", what are my other options?
You might have an encrypted file. The Plug-in does not work with documents that have 40-bit encryption level, and have the "No Content copying or Extraction, Disable Accessibility" option checked. The same applies for the 128-bit Encryption Level when the "Allow Content Copying and Extraction" is unchecked.
What is an Alphabetical and Static Text types and what is a difference?
Numeric, Alphabetical, Num-Alpha and Roman are variables as Counters that can be incremented or decremented as part of your customized BATES Stamp process. The Static Text selections was erroneously labeled in that it is NOT a Counter of the BATES Stamp, but rather a Static Text Field that has no functionality other than as an Annotation Stamp that replaces or super imposes text via the BATES Stamp tool.
My stamp override page content. Can I reduce a page size while stamping?
Yes. Professional version of IntelliPDF BATES Stamp will do it for you. If you are using Standard version you will need to upgrade it to Professional.
Can you batch process multiple PDF's?
Yes. Batch mode it is implemented in Professional version. If you are using Standard version you will need to upgrade it to Professional.
Can the order of the elements be changed once they are added?
Yes. Starting with version 1.1 of IntelliPDF BATES Professional you can change the order of the elements or Bates stamps.
Sometimes stamped PDF files it print slower than their original. Can you explain why?
This usually happens when you have transparent objects in your documents. Some printers take longer time to process this objects due to their increased complexity. If print time is an issue, set an Opacity setting of all stamps to 100%.
